Earth Day Festival

Celebrate Earth Day at Fort Greene Park! There'll be various free, family-friendly activities and sustainable swaps for all ages.

Check below for what's to come:

  • Plant Swap with donations from Greenery Unlimited and Tula House. Expand your houseplant collection at the plant swap by trading plants, plantlets, and cuttings to take home and grow.

  • Storytime in the Park led by Walt Whitman Library. Join Walt Whitman Library for a flower-themed craft and story time featuring “A Seed Grows” by Antoinette Portis.

  • Bioblitz led by members of the Green Team. As a part of the City Nature Challenge, help us identify the myriad plants and animals that make up the biodiversity of Fort Greene Park.

  • Make Music! with recycled instruments led by Brooklyn Music School. Try your hand at playing recycled mugs and more!

  • Bandana Prints with the Urban Park Rangers. Stamp out your own designs on bandanas, with the rangers to guide you through this fun craft project.
