Black History And Culture Tour Of Fort Greene
As part of The Joy of Play, Suzanne Spellen and Councilmember Crystal Hudson are hosting a special Juneteenth edition of Fort Greene Park Conservancy's Black History Walking Tour of Fort Greene to The Lay Out.
From Lil' Kim's apartment to Spike Lee’s former HQ, the Paul Robeson Theater, and the stories still tucked into the blocks around us, this walk traces the history that shaped the neighborhood we gather in today. Take a walk, we’ll be in the park when you get back.

Elevate your mind, body, and soul: Free Health Fest with Fun Beats
It's the health event of the year for the community as Brooklyn Community Board 2 brings you "Living Well, Living Strong, Free Health Fest and Fun Beats! Get your services, get tested, and get ready for a fun day in the park! There will be music, free healthy food, a prostate screening truck (free PSA blood test!, not invasive), a DJ, medical professionals on site with practical services, blood pressure testing, a panel discussion on maternal health, kids' activities, and so much more!

Sing, read, and play with librarians from Brooklyn Public Library! Have fun hearing great picture books read aloud and playing with other children during this program featuring guest musical artists from Urban Stages. For children of all ages and their caregivers.
Run Club with Chelsea Piers Fitness
Join Coach Skye Massey for a 3-5 mile run starting at the monument in Fort Greene Park. Whether you're training for your first marathon or simply looking for a great workout and new connections, this group is for you. We encourage members of all paces and levels to join in and start up a new running routine.
AMP'd Class with Chelsea Piers Fitness
Hit the grass and push your body to new limits with Chelsea Pier’s Coach Declan Julien at the top of Fort Greene Park, right next to the monument! This free, high-intensity interval training class will challenge your body and boost your energy with a mix of bodyweight strength and cardio exercises.
All levels are welcome to join. Please bring your own mat or towel, as those will not be provided, and be prepared with water, sunblock and anything you need to remain comfortable in the sun.
Fort Greene - Navy Yard Walk & Talk to Build a Strong Parks System
Join a Fort Greene - Navy Yard Walk & Talk focused on the future of parks and open space. This free, guided community tour will bring together residents, parks advocates, and community leaders to walk around Fort Greene and a bit of the Navy Yard area to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing neighborhood parks.
