Young Naturalists
Calling all nature lovers between the ages of 5 and 13! Young Naturalists is a youth-led program for kids to share and grow their knowledge about the world around them using Fort Greene Park as their open lab. Held on a flexible biweekly schedule, with sessions ranging from bird identification and recycling minigames, to sharing all sorts of knowledge with one another, kids can expect to participate in hands-on activities and experiments and learn from their fellow Young Naturalists. Sessions are free to attend, no registration required.
Whether you only know a handful of fun facts or you can recite the Latin name of every single bird in New York City, you have what it takes to lead your friends in a fun and engaging workshop, tour, or program! Youth Leaders can get community service hours and free Young Naturalists merch!
