Step Up for the Park is Fort Greene Park Conservancy’s spring fundraiser, celebrating movement and mental health activities in the park. Every year, we host an annual community fitness event celebrating the power of public space to support health, connection, and belonging.
AMP’d Class With Chelsea Piers Fitness
Join Chelsea Pier’s Coach Declan Julien in Fort Greene Park, right next to the monument! This high-intensity interval training class will challenge your body and boost your energy with a mix of bodyweight strength and cardio exercises.
The Wordsmith Showcase
Enjoy an afternoon of poetry performances and expression! Hosted by Tanja Richardson and Keenan Watson, The Wordsmith will showcases new featured poets. Writers of all ages are also welcome to participate in an open mic.
Storytime in the Park
Join the Brooklyn Public Library - Walt Whitman for Storytime in the Park! In each event, Children's Librarian Ms Anna will read stories followed by special guest musicians.
Community Heroes
There are so many incredible people at the heart of Fort Greene Park’s history—which is why we’re proud to help organize Community Heroes, a project founded by Jasmin Chang and Zac Martin to help document everyday neighborhood heroes.
