Learn more about upcoming park events using our calendar! In the model of a bulletin board, anyone is able to submit their events to our website.
Keep an eye out for event “tags” that will tell you if the event is led by us at The Conservancy, one of our Partner-led events, or if it’s a Community-led event. Please keep in mind that we are not in control of community led events in the park, and anyone is welcome to share their event on our website pending approval from staff.

Archery: Magnetic Archery
Learn the art of archery with free lessons taught by our expert Urban Park Rangers. This program uses safe equipment with magnetic arrows and targets. All equipment will be provided.
Clinton Hill Fort Greene Mutual Aid’s People Power Picnic
Join your neighbor’s for CHFGMA’s first annual People Power Picnic at the monument. Featuring home-cooked food and hometown (and world famous) DJs — Saint James Joy of the pandemic’s hottest block party and Cheo Pardo, a Grammy-winning Latin Artist. Everyone is welcome. Pay what you wish.
Kids and Family: Chalk Forest
Join Urban Park Rangers to draw a chalk forest. Learn about the native plants and animals that call Brooklyn home and get to touch and feel some pelts and biofacts.
Outdoors Skills: Fireside Storytime

Join the Urban Park Rangers atop Fort Greene Park and try your hand at their navigational challenge. Borrow instructions and a compass to find the secret word scrambled within the park. Return to the Rangers with the word for a Fort Greene prize.

Mulchfest
Wrap up your holiday season and say goodbye to your tree at Mulchfest! Join NYC Parks in the holiday tradition of recycling your Christmas tree. We’ll chip your tree into wood chips to nourish trees and make NYC even greener. Drop off your tree at the Myrtle Ave and Washington Park corner entrance during park hours between December 26 and January 7.

The 25th annual Fort Greene PUPS Pupkin is here! Join Fort Greene PUPS on Saturday before Halloween Fest at the bottom on the monument stairs to see the best costumes that Brooklyn dogs have to offer!
