We'll provide the space, entertainment, and setting on the spectacular Monument Plaza in the center of Fort Greene Park. Wear your most festive attire, bring a picnic dinner or purchase a meal* (purchase details in ticket dropdown) and drinks from our local partners: Greene Grape, Metta, and Gnarly Vines.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Fort Greene Park Conservancy and help make our 150+ annual free events possible, serving over 25,000 neighbors annually through favorites like FGPC's annual Halloween Festival, summer kids concerts and dance workshops, movie series, public art programs, in-park horticultural/volunteer initiatives, and so much more.
In honor of the poet Walt Whitman and the critical role he played in the creation of Fort Greene Park, this year’s theme is “Leaves of Grass.” Please dress with a touch of green. The tables will be decorated but, if you’d like, bring additional decorations inspired by Whitman’s most beloved poem.

We’re excited to partner with incredible local merchants, Green Grape, Metta and Gnarly Vines, to provide ready-made, locally-crafted and curated meals, wine and beer for your convenience. Please see our ticketing page for full descriptions, and to purchase in advance. Your delicious food and wine/beer willbe waiting for you at the event and Metta will be cooking on site again this year! If you are pre-ordering food/drink, plates, cutlery and glasses will be provided.
***All orders must be placed through Eventbrite ticket platform by June 1, 2019. No food or drink will be sold at the event.***
If you bring your own food and drink, please also bring your own plates, cutlery and glasses. Please bring only beer or wine (or both!) for dinner—no hard liquor.
Location + Directions Fort Greene Park Fling will be held in a tent at the Monument Plaza at top of Fort Greene Park. Map Here. Please note that vehicles are not allowed in the park, ask cars or taxis to drop you at 100 Washington Park Brooklyn, NY. The party will go on inside the tent rain or shine.
Tickets -General admission tickets provide you entry to the event -Reserved table ticket packages will guarantee group seating for 10 guests. -If you have a group of 10 or more with individual tickets, email us at email@example.com. We will do our best to seat groups together, but cannot guarantee. -Because alcohol will be present, this is a 21+ event. IDs will be checked at the entrance. -All ticket options are 100% tax-deductible.
Event Timeline 5pm: Doors open. 6 pm: Drinks/Dinner begins with live jazz band.
8 pm: Dance party begins with a live DJ set.
10 pm: Fling concludes. Please clean your table and bag your trash before you leave.
