Landscapes. Each event will focus on horticultural and landscape aspects of Fort Greene Park
through presentations given by noted landscape designers, gardeners, authors, illustrators, and
specialists.
Rick Darke: Author, photographer, and landscape designer Rick Darke believes the ability to see
deeply is the most important skill any of us can bring to the enjoyment, understanding, and
stewardship of shared landscapes. Darke's multimedia presentation "The Art of Observation:
Finding the Extraordinary in the Ordinary Landscape" will employ examples of diverse habitats
and cultural landscapes to explore the art of observation and the inspiration to be found in
celebrating the unprogrammed qualities of everyday places.
Future presenters include: Wendy Hollender, noted botanical illustrator, author and instructor,
on Wednesday, June 15th @ 6.30pm, at Fort Greene Park Visitors' Center.
