Commemorative Benches

Dedicate and Donate. The Commemorative Bench Program was established in 2008 to create a permanent fund to maintain and endow the care of Fort Greene Park benches and their surrounding plantings.

Support our park and memorialize a loved one, a community organization or an important life event by dedicating a park bench. Your personalized message will be engraved on a brass plaque and affixed to a bench of your choice. Adopting or installing a bench has the addition benefits of:

• Brass engraved plaque permanently installed on your bench
• Acknowledgement on the Fort Greene Park website

Bench Pricing

• New Full Bench: $5,000.
  
  The Conservancy will purchase and install a new Central Park Settee style bench, with your personalized plaque affixed, in an approved location of your choice.
• Existing Full Bench: $3,000.
  
  Your personalized plaque will be featured on an existing bench of your choice.
• Existing Half Bench: $1,500.
  
  Your personalized plaque will be featured on an existing bench of your choice. There are a maximum of two plaques on an existing bench.
